Details of Instructions for the submission of Abstracts to EuroSun 2006 are given below

Abstracts are invited in the main topic areas of the conference, for consideration by the Scientific-Technical committee. They must be in English and include:

    Main topic area

    Full title of the paper

For the author for correspondence: full name, organisation, full address, phone/fax/e-mail

For additional authors: full name and affiliation

Preference for presentation (oral or poster)

    Purpose of the work

    Methods, Innovations, Results (as appropriate)

    Main conclusions

Abstracts should be produced and in any case no longer than one side of A4, using a font no smaller than 11point (for ease of reproduction and printing). One monochromatic graphic per abstract may be included within the single-page limit (but avoid graphics with dark backgrounds, as these do not reproduce well). Abstracts should be submitted on-line, using the online submission form.

Deadline for submission of abstracts: 1 November 2005

Abstracts will be evaluated on the basis of the clarity of the objectives, the method used and the significance of the results. The author designated for correspondence will be notified of the paper’s acceptance or rejection by 1st February 2006 .

Submission of an abstract for review is considered as an agreement that the work will not be published or presented elsewhere prior to the conference.

Presentation of papers and publication

In submitting an abstract, authors agree to the decision of the Scientific-Technical Committee on the mode of presentation – either oral or by poster. Authors will be notified at the time of acceptance of the abstract.

Full papers must be submitted for all presentations (oral and posters) by 1st May 2006 . This should be done electronically, according to the instructions and templates on www.eurosun2006.org.

Abstracts will be published in hard copy, and full papers will be published in CD-ROM form. These will be available for delegates at the conference. Hard copies of the full papers will be available, at an additional cost, after the conference.

Oral presentations will be in the order of 15 minutes plus 5 minutes for discussion. Some topics may be presented in round-table discussions.

Poster sessions will start with a brief oral presentation, of about 3 minutes for each poster.

Submission of a paper is considered as an agreement that the copyright of both the abstract and the paper will be transferred to the publisher.
